ZoneMusicReporter will once again host the ZMR Music Awards Live in New Orleans, LA on May 13th, 2017.
We have moved the show to a new venue this year. It will be held at Roussel Hall on the campus of Loyola University. This year's
awards marks the 13th anniversary of the ZMR (formerly NAR) Music Awards. We
cannot overstate our excitement. Last year's event was a great success and
turned into quite a 3 day celebration. The industry attendance was outstanding. Actually "The Tribe" was the term coined for last year's gathering. It truely has turned into a must attend event for the ZMR community.
We had attendees from all across America, Canada, Australia to India. Check
pictures from last year's event at our ZMR Award Show Facebook page. It will be the perfect weekend to celebrate, not just this year's Award
Nominees, but also the genre that we represent as a whole.
We are proud to announce the return of the host of "Night Tides" on KCUR - Renée Blanche as this year's Master of Ceremonies.
The line-up of performers is outstanding and covers many of the musical styles that ZMR represents.
These artists have generously donated their time, talent and effort to make this show a night to remember. All of the proceeds will be used to cover the
cost of the show, and the remaining funds (if any) will be used to seed next year's award show.
ZMR will again host a Meet and Greet at The Vacherie in the heart of the French Quarter. This was a not to be missed event last year.
It was a great night for meeting old friends and making new ones in the atmosphere of an old world French Quarter setting.
The event will be catered and according to our food critic, Mr. Billl Binkelman, the food was second to none. The Meet and Greet will be held on Friday May 12th, 2017. Hope to see you there!
The ZMR Music Awards concert promises to be a magical evening! Looking forward to seeing our old friends from last year and meeting those who plan on attending this year. See you there!
In past years we conducted a fund raising drive to help with the cost of this event.
We had a minimum threshold to raise that would trigger whether or not we would
have the show. We have not taken that approach this year. We decided
that we would produce the show regardless of how much we raised but the expense to put on this event
continues to grow as we improve the product. If you would like to donate to help
offset some of the cost to us, it would still be welcomed and greatly
